About the Nitto Mud Grappler

All-season tires are designed for long tread life and comfortable, quiet driving from spring through late fall, with good wet-road grip. They are not a substitute for winter tires in snow or below about 7 °C.

As a mud-terrain tire, it has an open, aggressive tread for deep mud and rocks, at the cost of more road noise.

It can be fitted with metal studs where they are permitted.

Is the Nitto Mud Grappler good in snow?

It is an all-season tire without the 3PMS symbol, so it is not a winter tire. In Quebec it cannot be used from December 1 to March 15, and in Ontario we recommend a winter or all-weather tire for snow.
