About the Hankook IW01A
Winter tires are made for temperatures below 7 °C, with a soft compound and dense siping for snow, slush and ice. In Quebec, winter tires bearing the 3PMS symbol are mandatory from December 1 to March 15, and most Ontario insurers offer a discount for them.
It carries the 3PMS snowflake symbol, meaning it passed a standardised test for traction in severe snow. Some sizes are specifically marked for electric vehicles.
